Compost delivered ready for spring planting at B&B Guest House near Barnstaple

spring is around the corner so it is time for Roger to get busy in the West Down B&B Guest green houses

Spring time at West Down B&B Guest House, Barnstaple so Roger has been busy in the green houses.

The compost has been delivered in bulk to be used for sowing seeds and then planting into the numerous  troughs, planters and hanging baskets in the guest house grounds.

As well as spring and summer bedding Roger will also be sowing a variety of salad and vegetable crops to supply Brenda with fresh ingredients  for her AA award winning meals.

Meanwhile Roger has been busy disinfecting and cleaning the green houses for the first stage which is sowing the seeds into trays.

Each year Roger makes up planter boxes to replace those that have reached the end of their useful life to make sure that West Down B&B Guest House is a riot of colour in spring, summer and autumn to welcome new and returning guests.

We now intend to open on the 17th.  May following the latest Government Covid announcement so please be sure to check out our special offers and late availability pages so that we can welcome you to West Down for a well earned post Covid  break or longer holiday.

Take care,

Roger & Brenda.
