BRENDA DODGES STORM BRENDAN TO MEET UP WITH FARM STAY FRIENDS IN BELFAST.
Brenda recently took some time out from proving wonderful holiday accommodation at West Down B&B Guest House in North Devon to meet up with friends from Farm Stay and stayed with one of the Farm Stay members in Belfast. The trip was planned well in advance but they had not made allowances for storm Brendan which intensified during the flight over from the UK and forced them to be rerouted to Belfast International airport where they had to sit on the tarmac for over an hour before being allowed to alight from the aircraft due to the high winds.
However once safely landed Brenda and Jane Cook from Pickwell Barton joined Rosanne from Inverness and local guest house owner (and translator !!) Heather from Colraine, to explore the wonders of Nothern Ireland’s countryside. This included the Giant’s Causeway, locations used in The Game of Thrones TV series and the Royal Portrush Golf Course where the 148 British Golf Open was recently played.
Brenda was happy to report that the return journey home was more relaxed and pleasant but that she was glad to be home at West Down.
