Roger and Brenda have just come back from London having been
awarded the Friendliest B&B in Devon award by the AA and making
the final 25 in the country out of over 2600 B&B's inspected by the AA.

ATHERINGTON B&B IS FINALIST IN THE AA’S FRIENDLIEST
BED AND BREAKFAST OF THE YEAR AWARD 2013
Brenda and Roger Savery from West Down Farm Guest House are flying the
flag for Devon as a finalist in the AA’s Friendliest Bed and Breakfast of the
Year 2013. This is a great achievement for West Down Farm which is one of
25 finalists shortlisted from over 2,600 bed & breakfasts inspected by the AA.
All the finalists have been nominated by the AA’s Hotel Inspectors and the
winning B&B will be awarded the coveted title.
The West Down citation reads
Situated between South Molton and Torrington, West Down Farm is a beautiful
16 th Century farmhouse set in stunning countryside. Guests receive a genuine warm welcome
and Brenda is always on hand to answer any questions, suggest places to visit and
provide wonderful home cooked, and often home grown, meals. The four guest rooms
all provide an excellent standard of accommodation even for the less mobile.
Speaking of her nomination for AA’s Friendliest B&B Brenda said,
“I strongly believe that I am lucky to live in such a beautiful place and I genuinely
love to welcome guests to our home.”
